The 6-ICIT, held in April 2001 at the Paisley Business School in Scotland, focused on the theme of "Integrated Management". 

Attended by 150 delegates, 95 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 21 countries.

 

The 7-ICIT, held in April 2002 at the RMIT, Melbourne, Australia focused on the theme of "Change Management".

Attended by 250 delegates, 160 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 29 countries.

The 8-ICIT, held in April 2003 at the Delta Hotel, Montreal, was the first ICIT held in North America. It focused on the theme of "Business Excellence”.  Attended by 150 delegates, 84 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 24 countries.

 

The 9-ICIT, held in April 2004 at the Siam City Hotel, Bangkok, had been well supported by the Thailand Foundation for TQM. It focused on "Best Practices”.

Attended by 280 delegates, 80 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 20 countries.

The 10-ICIT, held in Mar 2005 at the Galaxy Hotel, Shanghai, had been well supported by the Shanghai Academy for Quality Management. It focused on "TQM & 6-Sigma for Competitiveness”

Attended by 300 delegates, 150 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 26 countries.

 

The 11-ICIT held in April 2005 at the Hang Seng School of Commerce, HK, had been well supported by the APBEST Academy. It focused on "Corporate Governance”.

Attended by 150 delegates, 85 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 25 countries.

The 12-ICIT was held in April 2006 at the National Chin-Yi U. of Tech, Taiwan. It focused on "Going for Gold”.

Attended by 120 delegates, 68 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 18 countries.

 

The 13-ICIT held in April 2008 at the Sheraton Hotel, PJ, Malaysia, was hosted by SIRIM & MPC. It focused on "Innovation for Competitiveness”.

Attended by 220 delegates, 77 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 25 countries.

The 14-ICIT was held in April 2010 at the Scranton University, USA. It focused on "Lean Management”.

Attended by 80 delegates, 55 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 20 countries.

 

The 15-ICIT was held in July 2011 at the University Tenaga National, Malaysia. It focused on "Sustainable Development via Innovation”.

Attended by 160 delegates, 98 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 21 countries.

The 16-ICIT was held in July 2012 at the Linnaeus University, Vaxjo, Sweden. It focused on "ISO, TQM, Medical Tourism & Safety”.

Attended by 60 delegates, 44 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 15 countries.

 

The 17-ICIT was held in July 2013 at the University Tech., Sydney, Australia. It focused on "Innovation for Sustainability & O.D.”.

Attended by 50 delegates, 37 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 13 countries.

The 18-ICIT was held in Apr 2014 at the UiTM-Sarawak, Malaysia. It focused on "Enhancing Growth & Productivity through the Best Practices in QM”.

Attended by 150 delegates, 57 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 17 countries.

 

The 19-ICIT was held in Apr 2014 at the Kenya Institute of Management. It focused on "TQM for National Development – the African way”.

Attended by 100 delegates, 34 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 14 countries.

The 20-ICIT was held in Sep 2016 at the U. of Buraimi, Oman.  It focused on "TQM for Lean Production & Sustainable Organisational Development”.

Attended by 90 delegates, 32 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 15 countries.

 

The 21-ICIT was held in Apr 2017 at the Beijing Normal U., Zhuhai Campus, China.  It focused on " ISO & TQM for OBOR’s Sustainable Development”.

Attended by 100 delegates, 37 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 11 countries.

The 22-ICIT was held in Apr 2018 at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai Campus, China.  It focused on " Cultural Harmonization via ISO-TQM”.

Attended by 100 delegates, 34 high quality papers were delivered by delegates from 8 countries.

 

The 23-ICIT was held in Apr 2019 at the BNU/HKBU-UIC, Zhuhai, CHINA  .  It focused on " ISO & TQM ~ Teaching Quality & e-Learning in OBOR Countries”.

2.      OBJECTIVES

 

Specifically, the 23-ICIT will focus on how best practices in ISO portfolio of standards and TQM will affect quality trends in the new economy. TQM provides an overall concept that fosters continuous improvement in an organisation. The first objective of the conference is thus:

To provide a forum for the identification of contemporary development in the theories and practices of TQ Teaching and for the sharing of experience of the One-Belt-One-Road (OBOR) countries.

The number of ISO certified companies has seen a phenomenal rise.  The importance of the ISO series of standards, and its close relationship with TQM give rise to the second objective:

To establish the impact of ISO Standards implementation on TQM towards enhancing Growth and Productivity amongst the OBOR nations, in particular on Teaching Quality & e-Learning.

15 Apr 2019 (Final date for submission of abstract, biography and Conference Paper Submission Form)

A 500 word extended abstract (without author’s name), a 100 word biographical note (appended to the end of the the abstract), and the Conference Paper Submission Form in the same Microsoft Word file must be sent via email to the Conference Chair. All conference abstracts will be reviewed by the Editor to ensure their academic rigour, professional contribution and relevance to the conference sub-themes.

All authors will be informed if their abstracts have been accepted to proceed.

The summary of each paper presented at the 23-ICIT will be printed in a bound Conference Proceedings called ISO & TQM ~ Teaching Quality & e-Learning in OBOR Countries, a link will be provided to each participant to download the full papers and PPTs.  The full papers will also be published at the Conference Website to facilitate Internet search and cross-referencing.  Style sheets for submission to the proceedings will be sent to you after your paper has been accepted.  In addition, accepted papers will be considered for publication in the journals  listed below.  A Best Paper Award will be allocated to each sub-theme.  These papers will be automatically considered for publication, after aligning with the IJEBM requirement.

Entering from Macau into Zhuhai

 

Three-day VOA are provided at Gongbei Port (from Macau) if you only visit Zhuhai. Upon arriving at the Gongbei immigration building, you can find the office by passing all the duty free shops; it is behind a green door on the right hand side of the immigration building. You shall fill in an application form, pay the fee and have your photo taken on spot. The processing takes about 10 minutes. It costs 168 RMB for applicants of most countries, but UK nationals have to pay 469 RMB. Hong Kong dollars are not accepted. Only RMB is accepted for payment. Currency can be changed at the China Tourist Services Office back downstairs in the immigration hall. Once the visa has been issued, proceed to the immigration hall to complete the immigration process.
